LabDesk
A modern lab management system for diagnostic labs and imaging institutes — patient cases, test setup, result entry, daily cash accounting, approvals and MIS exports — built on a Next.js front end and ASP.NET Core 8 API.
The problem
Diagnostic labs run on a patchwork of paper registers, Excel sheets and disconnected software. There is no single view of pending cases, no automated approval workflow, and daily cash — denominations, expenses, receivables and handover — is reconciled by hand. Reporting out to management is a slow, manual job.
What we built
We rebuilt LabDesk as a dark-first SPA on a clean REST API. Patient registration, test assignment, result entry, approvals and accounting all live in one cohesive app with role-based access, six dashboard charts (cases by month, collections vs expenses, revenue by referring doctor, most requested tests, case classes and denomination breakdown), and a white-label brand layer that keeps the institute's identity on screen. MIS exports to Excel via ClosedXML in one click.
